Games will be played from April thru June on Saturday mornings. All games will be held at HOB Elementary in Milton. We are excited by the continued improvements to the facilities at HOB, which include newly planted playing surfaces and a building of our own to house our soccer equipment and tools to care for the fields. HSC To Offer Referee Training
Referee Training for Level 8 Certification (Ages 14 and Up) will be held 2/20/2010 and 2/27/2010 at South Coastal Library from 8:30 AM to 5 PM
Grade 9 Training do those under 14 years of age will be just the 2/20/2010 date
Recertification for Level 8 is also on 2/27/2010
Please register ONLINE and then email Frank Capparell at Capparellf@msn.com so we have an accurate count for attendance.
Please note:
1) Anyone that is going for a new certification will have to register on-line.

2) You will be responsible for the initial fee of $60 payable to DRSA.
3) Reimbursement: in May of half the $60 fee will be reimbursed after successful certification and after the 5th day of refereeing in the spring.
4) A third part of this clinic will is an on-field clinic on a Saturday morning at the start of the recreational season from 8AM to 12:30PM,
New referees will be doing matches and will be required to wear their uniform. This is mandatory for completion of the USSF course.
5) You must attend all three dates for completion of the course (Level 8).
Successful completion of the course requires passing the referee test .The clinic will begin at 8:30AM Saturday February 20th and run to 5PM. On Saturday, February 27th it will begin again at 8:30 and continue to 5PM. Referees should bring lunch for both Saturdays and a #2 pencil for the test. No uniform or equipment is required for the clinic. Directions to the clinic venue will be forthcoming.
Please print out the USSF registration form and complete it in prior to attending the clinic so you will not have to fill one out at registration. Some notes on the form:
· The Registration year is 2010
· Be sure you print clearly and record your DOB
· Also be sure to fill and sign Section 5.
· Grade level is 8 and District is 1

There are two USSF websites that have the "Laws Of the Game" and "The Guide to Procedures".. You will receive a hard copy book of LOTG and procedures at the clinic. However, you can get a head start by looking over this information on line.
SWOOSH!! HSC Has Been Awarded The Nike "Back Your Block Grant"
Thanks to everyone who went to the website and voted, Henlopen Soccer Club has been named as one of the winners of the 2009 Nike Back Your Block Grant. The funds, which are to be utilized for field improvements, comes on the heels of several local donations. The positive vibe around the club continues and we thank everyone for their continued support.
